Guys: over the last year, I’ve grown to love activewear.
Before my knee injury, I signed on to a personal training program, and I loved it. Whenever I was in town, I tried to fit in as many sessions as possible, and it was a great way to destress and feel stronger. Not to mention, I was pretty pleased with my muscle gains.

This winter, unfortunately, I’m looking at a few months of physical therapy for my knee injury. While I’m unable to workout, and I’m not able to go on hikes and longs walks that I’ve grown accustomed to, I am sporting activewear to therapy sessions and on weekends throughout the city.
Since I just started working out pretty seriously this summer, I just started building my cold-weather activewear collection. The picks at Athleta activewear are perfect to wear on even the most frigid morning — and not to mention, incredibly chic as well!
I’m a huge fan of the Athleta Activewear Cascades Parka because it can handle all of the elements. It’s waterproof and wind-resistant, and I love the length of the jacket (seriously — I always look for coats that are long enough to cover my bum!) I plan on wearing this jacket while I’m traveling this winter, and on all of my weekend laid back adventures.
There are plenty of leggings in my closet, but I haven’t invested in a pair of cold-weather tights just yet. I opted for the Athleta activewear Summiter Tight, which has an extra high waistband in the back for added warmth. These tights would also look amazing paired with an oversized sweater for a long day of errands or just kicking it with friends.
Fingers crossed I can get back to the gym soon. If not, this will be my physical therapy go-to ensemble!
