Willamette Valley
The valley runs about 150 miles south from Portland with more than 700 wineries. It is widely considered one of the best Pinot Noir regions in the world, and the most expensive region on my Ten Best list.
Best time to visit
May through October. September and October are the ones to book, with harvest energy and turning leaves.
