You guys know I love any clothing item that comes in a bright color or bold pattern, but today I wanted to dial it back a notch and go back to the basics with this Scoop dress. As much as I love a fun, vibrant color, sometimes it’s best to style a neutral.
When you’re buying budget-friendly pieces, if you buy them in a neutral color, those pieces will look far more expensive than they really are. Walmart has been my go-to for trendy looks for less this season, and these neutral picks will carry you through fall!
How to Wear a Little Black Scoop Dress Two Ways
Look 1: Dressed Down

One of the things I love about this shift dress from the Scoop line at Walmart is that it’s so easy to dress up and down! For the first look, I paired the dress with a cozy pair of Birkenstocks, layered over a denim jacket, and threw on my favorite pair of sunglasses. Voila! A super easy look that you can throw on and go.
Look 2: Dressed Up

This Scoop dress has the most darling little ruffle details, and the cutest bow tie in the back! I’m very impressed with how well made and high quality this piece is. This is a classic dress you’ll want to wear season after season!
For a dressed-up look (I’d probably wear this to a socially distanced winery trip!), I paired the dress with my go-to straw hat and some white heeled sandals; It’s a great piece if you’re looking for a bit of daytime elegance!
