Food for the Big Game – Idea #1: A Football Dip Spread

I love the idea for food boards for the Big Game because your guests can graze as the day and night go on. I wanted to include some quintessential tailgate snacks like chips, salsa, pretzels, and buffalo dip for this board. Then I added a few veggies for anyone looking for a substitute for chips as well.

One fun thing I added to make this board a bit more festive? I took a mozzarella string cheese pack, sliced it into thin slices, and made a pattern to resemble the white stripes of the football on the board, laying it over some pretzels. It’s a fun, decorative, yet edible way to jazz up your Big Game platter!

For this board, I included:

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Food for the Big Game – Idea #2: A Wing Platter

Name a more iconic duo than the Big Game and Wings. I’ll wait.

Depending on how many guests you have, you could easily size up this wing platter. I love to include wings with different sauces — the board pictured here has buffalo wings on one side and BBQ on the other, but you can go all out here and include other flavors like honey mustard, spicy ginger-soy, hoisin sauce, and more!

I would also offer your guests a few different dipping sauce options on your platter as well. Ranch and blue cheese are always classics, but you could also grab a chipotle sauce or a sweet chili sauce for a bit more variety. Walmart+ also offers a few different plant-based wing options for those with other dietary preferences/restrictions.

Cheese & Charcuterie Board food for the Big Game with Walmart+

Food for the Big Game – Idea #3: A Classic Cheese & Charcuterie Board

You really can’t go wrong with a classic cheese and charcuterie board for any party. For peace of mind, I snagged this Hormel Gatherings Pepperoni, Hard Salami, and Cheese Tray and laid it out on my own board for a bit of flair. I added a bit of rosemary for garnish and placed some lil’ smokies on a stick around the board for additional charcuterie options. This is an easy, low-stress, and budget-friendly way to put together a cheese and charcuterie board!
