Before quarantine happened, Tom and I traveled like crazy. We were hardly ever home, and our life was pretty hectic (but fun!) When the stay at home orders were issued back in March, we quickly realized that we needed to do a bit more work on our space to make our house a home. We moved into our current house last summer, but we never really had a cleaning routine, favorite recipes to make, or even fully decorated spaces since we were on the road for the majority of the year.
Fast forward to now. I’ve honestly grown to appreciate our time at home because it’s forced us to slow down a bit, give our house some TLC, and work on ourselves.
One thing we’ve been doing at home? Perfecting the summer BBQ. We got a gorgeous new grill last year but only got to use it once last summer since we were out of town so much. This year, we’ve made grilling after work a thing! We usually try to have a small at-home BBQ for the two of us once every couple of weeks. It’s a great way to switch things up and make dinner a bit more exciting while we’re social distancing.
Our New Go-To Delivery Service: Walmart Express delivery
Even though we’ve been at home for months, we still haven’t quite gotten our grocery store shopping routine down pat. It takes us a long time to get through the store, and we always end up forgetting something that should have been on our list. Here’s where the new Walmart Express delivery comes in. We’ve been looking for a grocery delivery service for the past few months, but everything in our area booked up too quickly. Often times, we wouldn’t be able to book a delivery spot for weeks or even months. What I love about Walmart Express Delivery is that you can order it same-day, and get your order delivered to your home in two hours or less. How cool is that?
What You Can Get Delivered
Last week, we were cooking dinner and realized we needed some items for a last-minute backyard BBQ. We were able to order fresh corn on the cob, baked beans, and hamburger buns, and it was so nice to get it dropped off at our doorstep in such a short amount of time! We also ordered a few snacks (blueberries, chips, and more), avocados, and some other household essentials we needed on demand.
With Walmart Express delivery, I also love that you can get more than just groceries delivered. We’ve been trying to organize our house while at home as well, so I ordered a super budget-friendly set of storage boxes so we could properly store some of our photoshoot props and seasonal home decor. You can also get over the counter pharmacy items, household essentials, tech accessories, toys, and more delivered with this service! It’s seriously a lifesaver for busy folks that might not have time to swing by the grocery store, and a service we look forward to using for a while.
