Volkswagen Full Line Drive

You might have seen me tweet or Instagram this event last week, but I’m happy to finally explain all things #VWDrive deal in detail (along with a few stunning photos, of course!)
The kind folks over at Volkswagen invited me out to the Salamander Resort and Spa in Middleburg, VA (aka DC Wine Country) to test drive the 2015 Golf and Jetta. A not so fun fact about myself: I put over 400 miles a week on my car by commuting to work and visiting my friends and family who all live 20-25+ miles away from me. That being said, I knew I wanted to test drive the more gas efficient models that Volkwagen had to offer.
I was able to test drive both the 2015 Jetta TDI Clean Diesel and the 2015 e-Golf (a completely electric car). Both were incredibly fun to drive and very smooth; I was very impressed by the sporty feel of both cars. The Jetta TDI Clean Diesel got a whopping 45mpg on back country roads. I do have to say that the e-Golf was my favorite. This was the first time I’ve ever driven a fully electric car, and it was definitely an experience like none other! Electric cars are incredibly quiet, and it feels like you’re riding on a cloud. Also, the fact that it got 70-90mpg didn’t hurt either.
I highly recommend going out and test driving both of these amazing cars once they hit showrooms next month.  If you don’t drive a crazy amount of miles each week like I do, definitely take the Golf GTI for a spin. This powerful car is a lot more sporty yet great for everyday use.

Special thanks to Visit Loudoun and Virginia is for Lovers for taking us on the most breathtaking tour of Loudoun County. We had a blast visiting Great Country Farms and picking fresh peaches, dining at Magnolias at the Mill, and staying at the gorgeous Salamander Resort. Hopefully my next trip back to Loudoun will be in a brand new Volkswagen 🙂

Sounds like a fun experience. While I drove in an electric car, I haven’t driven one myself. I will have a look out for that since I love VW. Thank you for sharing!

My god, I’m obsessed with electric cars! I drive a yellow Volkswagen Bug, but I wish it was electric (and an automatic)!
