Happy Labor Day, friends! I’m in a bit of disbelief that summer is “unofficially” over. I’ve started to switch over some pieces in my closet, and I’m gearing up to consign some fall items later this week. I love switching over my closet and purging items because it gives me a good idea of what I need for the season!
Let’s be real: Virginia is still going to be hot for a while, so I’m transitioning with neutral, printed pieces that are versatile. One item that I am loving so far? This leopard print shirt dress.
I’ve been having fun figuring out new ways to style this piece. Below are two ways that I’m planning to wear this shirtdress now. Later on, when it gets chilly out, it will look darling layered underneath a jacket or a coat, and paired with some tall boots.

How to Wear a Leopard Print Shirt Dress
Look 1: Casual
So ironically, one thing that 2020 taught me is that I need to step up my casual outfit game. I feel like I either bought slightly fancy dresses or sweats in 2019, and there was no in-between!
What I love about this leopard shirtdress is that you can easily dress it up and down. One of my favorite ways to style this dress is to wear it as a duster and to layer it over a graphic tee and my favorite jeans. It’s fun and unexpected, but it’s also super comfy and perfect for the early days of fall!

Look 2: Dressy
This is a classic way to style the leopard shirtdress: add your favorite black bag, black booties, and you’re ready to go! This would be the perfect outfit for work or happy hour. To be honest, if you take off the boots and the bag, you’ve also got a pretty comfy dress for Zoom meetings as well!
What I love about this dress is that it buttons all the way from the top to the bottom, so you can easily add a slit if you want at the bottom! Which is perfect because, with this summer heat, a slit might give you some much-needed ventilation.
Which way would you style this leopard print shirt dress? Let me know in a comment below!

I LIVE for leopard print in the fall time. So far I have leopard flats and two leopard print tops, but I want to step it up with a leopard dress and booties next!
