Raise of hands, who else is stoked for all of their upcoming travels this spring and summer? I have a few fun locations on my list to make it to this year, and while I’m prepping for my quick trips, I’m making sure my carry on and packing game is incredibly strong as well. Here are a few items I personally consider travel essentials!
A roomy “personal” bag: I pride myself on avoiding checked bag fees, so I bring a huge bag as my “personal item” on flights and a small rolling suitcase as my carry on. This small duffle from Herschel is the perfect “personal item;” it’s roomy enough to fit my laptop, a magazine or two, and anything else that couldn’t quite fit in my carry on bag. I also love it as an overnight bag for the quick trips to my parents houses I make year-round!
A passport holder: I love this passport holder from ban.do because it has slots for your credit cards and IDs. So much more convenient than whipping out both your passport and your wallet! The fun design also makes it super easy to find your passport in your bag, which is *so* major. It’s easy to lose such a tiny booklet in a big ol’ purse!
A portable phone charger: I usually fly out of National, and my closest airport is pretty notorious for having a pretty crappy outlet situation. They’re few and far between! It’s best to just juice up a portable charger before flying out. This bad boy can fully charge your phone up to three times, and it has two USB ports so you can share the charge with your BFF while flying.
Dove Dry Spray: I’ve chatted about Dove Dry Spray before on the blog, but let me reiterate how much I absolutely adore it. It’s really an amazing item if you need to freshen up pretty quickly! I always have to keep deodorant in my personal bag while flying, since you never know when you might come across a lengthy flight delay. It’s great to keep with you at all times!
