I haven’t done a Foodie Files post in forever but never fear my friends, I still have been brunching in and around D.C. on the reg. A girl’s gotta eat, right? As much as I love a good bottomless brunch in the city, it kind of starts to get repetitive. I was invited by the folks at the brand new Topgolf Loudoun to bring some of my girlfriends to try their very special brunch — with a twist!

Topgolf Loudoun opened up back in September and is an absolutely stunning venue. We hung out on their rooftop terrace on the 3rd level and got to enjoy an incredible view of the entire course. It’s also a full-service restaurant, so for those of you who enjoy eating and drinking, you don’t even have to leave your bay for nourishment! You can also find 200+ HDTV’s, multiple bars and theres another lounge area downstairs with a pool table and other games.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve never played golf in my life and I honestly never thought it would be that much fun. I’m the least athletic person ever (hello, I was on the dance/cheerleading teams at school growing up!) Topgolf has the coolest concept: it’s not a typical driving range, it’s moreso of a golf entertainment center. My friends and I reserved two bays, and players hit golf balls containing computer microchips that track each shot’s accuracy and distance while awarding points for hitting targets on the outfield. It’s a fun game for all skill levels, even total rookies like me!

In between golf games, my friends and I ate almost everything they had to offer. I was very impressed by their brunch menu, which included options for a Bloody Mary bar, “Manmosas”, and other fun cocktails if you wanted to deviate from the standard mimosa brunch options. I highly recommend splitting the wings as appetizers and the donuts for dessert!

Long story short: golf skills are definitely not needed to have fun at Topgolf Loudoun! For those of you who aren’t local but want to try out Topgolf for yourself, they have dozens of locations across the country. If you’re interested in trying it out for yourself, sign up before December 31st for a free lifetime membership and $10 off your first game!
