I’ve officially reached the “kick it” mode of summer. What the heck is “kick it” mode you ask? It’s a jazzier term for “lazy”.

It’s hot, D.C. is crazy, crazy humid, and I can’t be bothered with a fussy outfit when I go outside and start instantly sweating. This little dress from THML has been in heavy, heavy rotation over the last few weeks. It’s my go-to for BBQs, outdoor brunches, picnics, you name it, I’ll wear it there. You can also dress it up with a fun pair of lace up heels and it transitions well into a summer cocktail party. Win/win, y’all. Win. Win.

If it were cool enough I’d totally layer a denim jacket over this, but we’ll have to save that for September. Or for a fateful, cool summer evening. Which is not going to happen this week.
