We’re almost done with Blogmas, everyone! For 12 days straight, I’m posting new holiday content to get you in the mood for the season. I can safely say that I do not plan on doing this again next year (gotta be honest!), but it was a fun experiment to try!
Speaking of 2020: remember when I went over those reader survey results with you all a few months ago? I got a lot of fantastic feedback and made a few changes, but I’m planning on tweaking some of those changes. A lot of folks called for less travel and blogging posts, which I get, but those happened to be my highest-traffic posts, so I think it’s time to ramp those up again. As always, I try to have a good mix of content here, so just in case I blog about something you might not be interested in, don’t fret: a new topic will be covered in a couple of days!
Anyway, let’s get to today’s post: it’s officially sparkle season, and I’m rounding up some of my favorite, glitzy dresses (and other pieces!) that are perfect for New Year’s Eve or any other holiday parties that you might have coming up. If you want to rent your NYE dress this year rather than buy, I rounded up my favorite Rent the Runway holiday picks last month!
As much as I love a good gold sequin dress, this year, I think it would be fun to play around with different colors and textures. I got a lot of compliments on this red sequin midi dress I wore to a holiday party last week — very festive and unexpected! Since we are heading into the “roaring 20s,” I think a fringe, flapper-inspired dress would be super fun for NYE!
