Subscription boxes: they make adulting a lot easier! Between running my own business and my hectic travel schedule, I’ve signed up for several different subscription services over the last few years to cut down on the amount of time I spend running errands and really maximize the small amount of free time I have in between trips.
In the past, I’ve signed up for a few fashion boxes that will help me shop for upcoming trips or special events, beauty boxes that will allow me to try the latest and greatest products on the market, and even culinary boxes that will come with a full meal that I can prepare so that I can avoid the grocery store. However, out of all of the subscription services for women that I’ve tried, I have to introduce you to the one box that makes the most sense for a girl on the go: the Gillette Venus Direct box.
Raise your hand if you’re always forgetting to purchase razors 🙋I only have to shave about once or twice a week since my hair grows in fairly light and thin, and I’m not going to lie: there have been many instances where it’s slipped my mind to buy a new razor while grocery shopping, and I’ll end up trying to shave with an older razor with a dull blade that just won’t cut it!
Shave Club for Women: Venus Direct Review
The folks over at Gillette invited me to try out their brand new Venus Direct box, their new subscription service for women, and you guys: I am loving it so far!
The gist? It’s a shave club for women, where you can set up a super simple shave plan and receive a customized box of products every 1-3 months. With Venus Direct, you’ll build your shave plan with an easy 3-step process that lets you choose your blade type, custom handle, and extra features.
For my plan, I opted for a simple, no-fuss plan: I chose the Smooth Handle, Smooth Blade Refills, and opted to have my box delivered every three months since I shave about 1-2 times/week. Each box comes with one handle and 4 blade refills, and my plan only cost $10/box. You can opt for more specialized handles and blades with extra features (I might have to try the blades with Olay Coconut for an extra smooth finish during the summer!)
Two things that I loved the most about this new subscription service for women? For starters, delivery is free and incredibly speedy. Not to mention, I’m so happy that I don’t have to worry about running low on razors or blades ever again because I’ll have a new set show up every few months.
Second: I was incredibly impressed with the quality of these razors, especially considering how budget-friendly they are! With my new, customized, refillable Venus razor, I was able to achieve a silky smooth shave in a matter of minutes — even with their simplest razor. Their premium handle and blade options they have are incredibly luxe and stylish, yet attainable for the everygirl.
There’s a reason why Gillette is the #1 women’s razor brand in the world, and I’d highly recommend giving this new shave club a try.
