The Perfect Spring Cocktail: Champagne Bourbon Cocktail
Can you believe that the first day of Spring is in a few short weeks? This winter seemed like it was never-ending, but I’m so stoked to finally have warmer weather on the horizon.
You guys probably know by now that love my wine, but my go-to spirit of choice has always been whiskey: specifically, bourbon. It’s a great spirit to keep on your bar cart because it tastes fantastic on the rocks, or mixed in a cocktail.
Today, I’m teaming up with my friends over at Coopers’ Craft to share a delicious Spring cocktail with that will wow all of your friends:
the Champagne Bourbon Cocktail
If you’re new to Coopers’ Craft, they’re a Kentucky-based distiller, and they produce some of the finest craft whiskey in the country. It’s a very easy to drink bourbon that tastes incredible on its own and is also the perfect ingredient for your next cocktail. You can still get a taste of bourbon when Coopers’ Craft is mixed into a drink, but the taste isn’t overpowering!
If you’re looking for an alternative to a mimosa, this Champagne Bourbon Cocktail is right up your alley. This Spring cocktail is super easy to make, and will wow all your friends. What I love about this cocktail is that it suits a lot of different palates: it isn’t too sweet, but it’s still light, bubbly, and pairs well with food.
Combine the sugar, water, bean and seeds in small pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool to room temperature, then discard the vanilla bean.
Add 1 shot of Coopers’ Craft and 2 tablespoons vanilla bean syrup to a chilled champagne flute. Fill to the top with sparkling wine, and serve.
