IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara Review

Spring 2017 Beauty Trends

Do you ever feel like you get into a beauty rut? Do you ever get super content with the same products you’ve been using over and over again? After I headed up to NYFW and met with one of my favorite beauty PR firms, I suddenly felt inspired to try out new products yet again, and really step up my game. After all, spring is a brand new season with a totally different color palette — hello soft pastels, bold red lips, and dewey skin!

IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara

I’ve heard really amazing things about this mascara, and I knew I needed to try it out for myself! My lashes are pretty darn stubborn, but the ‘Superhero’ mascara combined with my Diorshow Maximizer Primer has been my main combo lately to help me achieve long, dramatic lashes. What I love most about this mascara is that you only need one coat, and it wasn’t super clumpy.

Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Kit

I went to a Clarins press event at the National Harbor a few weeks ago, and was introduced to this pure gem. Guys: I have the worst combination skin. My t-zone is always oily, and I get super shiny super easily. What I love about this kit is that it includes both a translucent powder and blotting papers. It’s also super sleek and compact enough to fit right in your bag. I pretty much plan on taking this little guy everywhere with me now!

Revive Le Tint Moisturizing Veil

When it gets warmer out, since I get so shiny, I try to wear as minimal makeup as possible. This tinted moisturizer is a heck of a splurge, but trust me: it’s worth every penny! I break out pretty easily, and this product is incredibly light and doesn’t clog my pores. It also blends in with ease, and is a great way to even out my skin tone on the go.

Trish McEvoy Light & Lift Eye Color Palette

I’ve been traveling a lot lately, and rather than packing all of my individual eyeshadows, I try to just throw in a palette and go. I think this palette from Trish McEvoy is so perfect for spring; I’m obsessed with the shades of pink and purple, and these colors will last you all day long!

Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Color

I haven’t tried Laura Mercier lipsticks before, but now I’m completely hooked! These lip colors last all day long and are super pigmented. I just picked up the colors ‘Infatuation’ and ‘Foreplay’, and both are pretty much going to be my new go-to lip colors. A bold red and a pretty pink are the main shades I need to get me through all spring and summer!

Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant

Ah — a skin product! I’m not sure why I didn’t include more skincare in this round up, but perhaps I’ll do another post with some of the other great products that I’ve tried. This product isn’t new, but it certainly packs a punch! Out of all of the exfoliating masks I’ve tried, this one is my go-to at the moment. My skin feels so smooth after using this mask, and it even appears brighter instantly. If you need to invest in one great mask, this one is it!

What are some beauty products you’ve tried lately?

  3. Dermalogica has been one of my favorite skincare lines for a long while now! A new addition to my arsenal is a scalp oil from Aveda – cold weather was brutal on my scalp.
