Where to stay during New York Fashion Week

As most of you know, a few weeks ago I headed up to New York Fashion Week for the first time in years. I was a regular in college, but it proved a little difficult to swing a trip up to NYC during my post-grad years. Even though I was swamped at work and with blog projects, I finally decided to just go for it this year. And boy oh boy — I had an absolute blast!

Fashion Week is incredibly insane. Like, schedule yourself a reminder to eat insane. I knew going in that I had to find the perfect NYFW home, AKA a fantastic hotel in a great part of town and that would accommodate all of our needs.

The folks over at Sofitel invited me and my friend Julien to stay with them during Fashion Week, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! Sofitel is an absolutely stunning property with a French flair right in Midtown Manhattan, and I could easily zip to any part of town in a relatively short amount of time.

Sofitel is the ideal place to stay for a girl on the go. Friday morning Julien and I woke up early and had some room service breakfast, which is one of the most delicious meals I had during my entire stay in NYC. They also served complimentary coffee and tea every morning, which was a complete lifesaver! After a long day of shows, I caught up with a few friends at Sofitel’s bar and lounge and it was a fantastic way to unwind.

The best part about Sofitel was hands down the quality of service I received. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated like such a queen at any hotel I’ve been to — from my package delivery requests to customizing a room service menu, the staff at Sofitel was incredibly friendly and catered to my every want and need!

There are dozens of Sofitel locations worldwide — in fact, there’s a Sofitel in D.C. that I plan on recommending to any out of town friends who visit me! I plan on making Sofitel my New York Fashion Week home again when I return for the shows in February!
