This year has been an eye-opener in many different ways. Back in June, I took the time to evaluate my shopping habits, and I realized that I don’t support black owned businesses nearly as much as I should!

Since then, I’ve made an effort to spend at least 15% of my extra income on Black-Owned businesses. If you’re looking to support a small Black-Owned biz this holiday season, here are five brands that I think should be on your radar this Black Friday!

Black Owned Businesses to Support this Holiday Season

Luv Scrub – The Mesh Exfoliator

I was introduced to Luv Scrub by Grace back in June, and I quickly became obsessed with mine. It’s such an elevated replacement for your traditional loofah! I love the size of this exfoliator: it stretches, which makes cleaning and exfoliating my back pretty easy. The Luv Scrub also provides gentle exfoliation, and my skin feels softer than ever. This would make for a great stocking stuffer for a loved one!

For the wellness lovers in your life, I’m a big fan of Calabash Tea and Tonic. They’re based in Washington, D.C. However, they do ship across the U.S. if you’re not local.

Calabash offers way more than just tea: they also carry herbal remedies, superfoods, coffee, aromatherapy, body care, and garden seeds as well. They also offer a monthly subscription box full of curated goodies if you want to support them long term!

OMA The Label

I am obsessed with OMA The Label. It took me a few tries back in June, but I finally got my hands on a pair of their hoops, and I wear them at least once a week. They’re so well made, and you can find a lot of options under $100.

Another thing that OMA The Label is known for is their bodysuits. I have my eye on their La Vie bodysuit: it looks incredibly chic, and it’s a unique piece that you’ll gravitate towards for years to come.

Another great inexpensive stocking stuffer idea? Coffee and tea from BLK & Bold. They offer fair-trade specialty coffees & loose leaf teas that taste like heaven. You can subscribe to a monthly shipment of beverages on their website, or you can also find them at Target.

 B.FREEDOM

I don’t have an original photo of B.FREEDOM’s products, but this would make for an amazing luxe gift. They’ve already kicked off their Black Friday sale, and you can get 40% off sitewide with code BF40. What a steal!

I love B.Freedom’s sets. They’re cozy enough to wear at home but chic enough to wear out on the town. These styles are timeless and something that your friend or loved one will wear for years to come!
