Sephora Spring Skincare Favorites

Sephora Spring Skincare Favorites by top US blogger, Alicia Tenise

So, this little thing called the Sephora Sale is happening really soon. Have you heard of it?

In all seriousness, I love the Sephora Spring Savings Event, and I use it as a time to either stock up on skincare essentials or try out new beauty products. Here are some of my favorite Sephora Spring Skincare Essentials — products I’ve personally tried over the past few years and can vouch for! Just a reminder, you can get up to 20% off these products from April 14-24.

For reference: I have oily/combination skin, but I live in a dry climate (Los Angeles). If you have dry skin, I’d recommend checking out Grace’s favorites, because my suggestions may or may not be applicable to you!

18 Sephora Skincare Favorites for Spring

Dermalogica Awaken Peptide Depuffing Eye Gel:

I’m not a morning person, and sometimes it shows in my eyes. This is a new-ish launch from Dermalogica, and it works wonders at depuffing my tired eyes in the AM. You only need to use a little bit of this gel: it’s super lightweight and absorbs really well into the skin.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream:

I’ve recently fallen back in love with the Ultra Facial Cream. It’s a classic, and the formula cannot be beaten. Since moving to LA, I’ve had to switch up a few things in my skincare routine to adapt to the drier climate. I love that this moisturizer is super hydrating but also lightweight.

Peter Thomas Roth Therapeutic Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask:

Real talk, I hate how this mask smells, but it does the trick in combatting acne. Sometimes, I’ll use it just as a heavy-duty spot treatment, but I usually use it when I notice my maskne is getting a little crazy. It helps get rid of my blemishes in about 24 hours!

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask:

Nobody has time for dry lips. After washing my face every night, I love using this lip sleeping mask to give my lips a boost of moisture. When I wake up, my lips feel soft, hydrated, and incredible after using this at night!

Dermalogica AGE Bright Clearing Serum:

If you get adult acne, this is 100% the product for you. I like to use this on my t-zone in the mornings to help prevent and/or reduce breakouts.

Necessaire Body Exfoliator:

In the past year, I started taking my body skincare a lot more seriously, and the result? My skin is super, super smooth. To the point when total strangers accidentally brush up on my arm, I see them go into shock at how soft my skin feels (seriously, ask anyone I know IRL: they’ll vouch for it!)

One step in my “achieve the smoothest skincare possible” routine is the Necessaire Body Exfoliator. I use it 1-2 times a week after my body wash, and apply it to my chest, back, arms and legs. It’s helped clear up some of my chest/back acne and has really improved the texture of my skin. This product is also great for those folks who apply self-tanner!

Biossance Squalane + BHA Pore-Minimizing Toner:

I ran out of toner last year, and after reading Grace’s blog, I decided to give Biossance products a try. And y’all: I am hooked. I love how this product locks in moisture and really helps improve the texture of my skin.

Kiehl’s Micro-Dose Anti-Aging Retinol Serum with Ceramides and Peptide:

This is my favorite retinol product that I’ve tried recently. I love that this works for a variety of skin types and really helps to make your skin glow. This product visibly firms the skin, reduces wrinkles, and helps with hyperpigmentation.

Dermalogica Retinol Acne Clearing Oil:

Dermalogica was nice enough to send me this product a couple of years ago, and I fell in love with it. This is great for adults who experience breakouts — the retinol provides a ton of anti-aging benefits, while the formula is designed to combat those pesky breakouts. A true savior to prevent maskne, to be honest!

Farmacy Honeymoon Glow Body 12% AHA/BHA Bump-Smoothing Night Serum:

Another step I take for my body skincare routine? Using this Farmacy Body Serum! Their team sent it to me in a PR mailer last year, and I instantly became hooked. I never thought to use a serum for your body, but it just makes sense.

I use this product once a week at night, after showering, and before putting on my body lotion. This product really helps me lock in moisture (which is essential living in a dry climate!) and helps improve my skin’s texture. Let this product sink in overnight, and you’ll wake up to the smoothest skin you’ve ever had. Basically, I cannot live without this serum at this point!

Biossance Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser:

I liked the Biossance Toner that I tried so much last year that I wanted to check out some of its other offerings. This product works best for dry skin IMO, — I have oily/combination skin, so I like to use this product at home in the dry LA climate. If I’m traveling to a more humid place, I’ll bring another cleaner, but I love to use this product to help lock in moisture!

Necessaire The Body Lotion:

This lotion truly is the MVP and has become a holy grail product for me. It can get me through an entire day in super dry LA and keep all the moisture locked in!

Tata Harper Resurfacing BHA Glow Mask:

This is one of my favorite masks in my beauty cabinet at the moment. I love that it helps minimize my pores, evens out the texture of my skin, and gives me a healthy glow. Definitely worth the investment!

Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Anti-Aging Eye Cream:

This is the newest eye cream in my rotation, but I find it to be pretty revolutionary. Last week, I got to spend the day with the Kiehl’s team, and they showed us how to “work out all four eye zones” with their Super Multi-Corrective Eye Cream, and my mind was blown.

You massage this product into your four “zones”: the brow bone area, eyelid, outer corners, and under-eye. It will lift the brow bone, smooth the eyelid, firm the corners of your eye, and depuff your undereye!

Peace Out Retinol Eye Stick:

This product is a recent favorite of mine. I love a good retinol eye cream, and I was looking for something that would be easy to travel with. I love that this product comes in a stick, which makes application easy. Just make sure the product is at room temperature, so it spreads easily and evenly! I like to use this product at night.

Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm:

At night, I like to double cleanse, and I start off by using a cleansing balm to get rid of makeup, break down sunscreen, and really get a deep clean. The Farmacy Green Clean is quintessential and the perfect product to kick off my nightly skincare routine.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant:

I’ve been using this product for about 5+ years now, and it’s a game-changer. It’s a great way to exfoliate your skin every day gently. I use this at night after cleansing and before serums. You can also mix this in with your cleanser if you’re looking to save time at night.

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 PA+++:

This might be my favorite sunscreen ever. If you have oily/combo skin and want to reduce shine, this sunscreen has a mattifying effect that makes you look like you’re wearing a tinted moisturizer. This is great to wear without makeup, but it also doubles as a primer.
