I wouldn’t be a proper college student blogger if I didn’t take an unannounced hiatus during finals week, right? Anyway, six finals and an aced summer class later, I’m currently enjoying these hot, lazy dog days of the season. I’m back in home sweet Northern Virginia for a bit before fall semester kicks my butt yet again. Don’t worry, Richmond, I’m not home for the whole summer.

Anyway, how gorgeous is the color of this dress? For some reason I am seriously lacking any shade of blue in my closet, but this royal blue gem of a dress is still bright and flattering for my skin tone. The side slits are fabulous for ventilation, especially when the weather forecast is calling for multiple 100+ degree days in a row (ick).
