Do you know why I hate this time of year? All of the spring collections are launching in stores and meanwhile in D.C., we’re looking at 2 feet of snow this weekend. Sorry to the pretty little sundress I spotted in the mall yesterday, I cannot bring myself to buy you just yet.
Enter one of my favorites shops in town, Refine Boutique. Refine is a really cool boutique and their concept is a little difficult for me to articulate, but I’ll do my best: it’s a super personal shopping experience that’s by appointment only here in the D.C. area. You’ll meet with the owner, Tanya, tell her what you’re looking for, and and she’ll pull some pieces for you. You can also pull whatever pieces you want to try as well! Refine carries brands that are hard to find in the D.C. area and pieces that you won’t spot at your local mall. Tanya is also a genius because she has not started stocking spring items yet. So if you’re like me and are looking for chunky sweaters right now instead of sandals, you’re in luck!
She’ll also come to your home or office for appointments if you’re within 10 miles of her shop in Cathedral Heights. There’s no pressure and no charge if you don’t end up buying something! This is ideal for the D.C. gal on the go!
