Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend! Even though I worked over 20 hours in the past three days, I still managed to squeeze in a barbecue and a trip to the river this weekend. Not too shabby!
It’s no secret that I’m a huge girly-girl, however, I wanted to style my Free People sundress in a more laid-back manner for a Memorial Day Weekend cookout. I threw my Madewell chambray shirt over the dress which made this look much more relaxed. It also doubles as a stylish, lightweight jacket that was ideal for the unseasonably chilly temperatures this weekend. When it warms up outside, I plan on layering a denim vest over this fun frock. To me, denim screams “All-American,” and it’s essential for any national holiday. If you’re ever debating whether or not your look is too prissy, just throw some chambray or denim over it to toughen it up!
