How I Keep Track of My NYFW Favorites

I just came back from a whirlwind of trips: NYFW and Disney World! Now that I’m back home, I’m sorting through all of my Fashion Week photos and reminiscing on the trends that I spotted on the runways this season — along with some of the more daring outfits that I rocked this year.

Most of the time, I’ll browse each one of my favorite websites to find similar pieces and recreate both my OOTDs and some of the looks that I spotted on the runway. This process has proved to be tedious, as there are probably a gajillion shopping websites out there (and I tend to visit the same retailers over and over again!)

I used Polyvore a lot when I first started blogging to create little collages and get some outfit inspiration. Now I mainly shoot my own photography, and I don’t post as many collages on the blog, but Polyvore is a fantastic way to find clothing items and start to build your own looks. While I love runway fashion, it is a bit of a bummer that you won’t see those items hit the stores until six months from now. Polyvore is essentially a fashion search tool that can help you recreate all of the NYFW looks you spotted on the runway (and on the streets!) The best thing about Polyvore is that it makes New York Fashion Week accessible to everyone — even if you weren’t at the shows yourself, you can become your own stylist and build looks off of what you spotted on the runways!

For this Polyvore set, I decided to recreate my favorite Fashion Week OOTD. I typed in all of the brands I knew I was wearing, and voila — I found most of the exact pieces I was wearing. Some of the items I was rocking were out of stock: I typed in “patent sneakers” and “blush maxi coat” to find the remaining pieces. I hope you enjoy shopping this look as much as I did!
