Raise your hand if you’re addicted to stripes 🙋🙋 Year after year, I find myself picking up a new striped top/dress/skirt/etc. And then I have to justify why this black and white striped top is different than this other striped black and white top I have in my closet. Sigh. Do I have a problem?
Even though I naturally gravitate toward stripes in the spring and summer, this year I’ve been loving polka dot fashion. Maybe it’s because I’ve been to Disneyworld not once, but twice this year, and I’m low key trying to be Minnie Mouse IRL. Either way, it’s not as overdone as stripes, and I can justify the addition of these pieces a little bit more to my friends who are concerned with my stripes addiction. No need for an intervention, fam!
I had this Free People polka dot top on my wishlist for the longest time before I finally gave in. It comes in 4 different colors, but you guys know I had to opt for the yellow since it’s my favorite color this season. I should also probably have a yellow intervention for my wardrobe, but don’t tell that to my loved ones. I’ve also been wearing this denim skirt from Everlane on repeat this summer, partially because I dislike shorts, also because I’ve gone up about a half of a size and none of my shorts from last summer are fitting me properly. Why are shorts the absolute worst? I’ll never figure that out! Props to my friends who can rock them season after season with ease.
