If you follow me on Twitter, you probably noticed that last Friday I was on the ultimate shopping spree. I had the pleasure of shopping at some of the independent and stunning boutiques of Old Town Alexandria with a few of my other favorite bloggers. I’m a D.C. area native, but surprisingly this was my very first time visiting the Old Town Boutique District. I’ve definitely been missing out on a lot of local gems! I know I’ll be coming back to Old Town quite often during the holidays this year to find one of a kind gifts for my loved ones.
Every blogger was assigned a store to blog about, and I had the pleasure of covering Bloomers. I will admit that a lot of lingerie shops intimidate me, but Bloomers is an exception to the rule. Kim Putens, the founder of Bloomers, wanted to open a store that carried comfortable yet stylish loungewear, sleepwear and underwear. The pieces in the store are high quality yet practical for the everyday woman. They carry some of my favorite brands such as Hanky Panky and Cosabella, which are perfect for everyday wear yet super feminine and flirty.
Some of my favorite things about Bloomers? They offer a bra guidance program to help you find the right bra size and they have a Panty of the Month club where subscribers are mailed a new panty each month. What a great way to try out new brands!
