Raise your hands if you’re obsessed with any kind of headphones. Yup, I see you out there!

Even when I was working a full-time job, I would plug in my headphones and get things done. Now that I work from home (and out of coworking spaces occasionally), it’s pretty essential for me to have some sort of headset to get in the zone. Something about being able to listen to music and answer calls through a headset really gets me in a productive mood!

The folks over at OnVocal let me try out their OV headset, and I am completely hooked! I can either stay connected to the outside world or isolate myself with a few trusty voice commands. In the mornings, I like to get up and connect my OV to listen to the news to get me up to speed with what’s going on throughout the world. While I’m working during the day, I’ll ask Siri to play that perfect productive work playlist I’ve created with my Amazon Prime Music account and to answer calls, and on my commute home, I usually give my mom a call to catch up (yes, I call her everyday!)

One thing that makes OV pretty spectacular is the sound quality. As someone who used headphones on a regular basis, I found that the crispness of the sound with the OV was far superior. I also loved how I was able to download the app and balance out the sound and sync it with Siri perfectly (you can sync it with Alexa and Google if you’re not using iOS). It’s also fantastic to use while driving; while I try to avoid making any calls when I’m on the road, it’s great to use voice commands to change any song that’s playing on my phone rather than doing it manually!

Headphones: I love you, but I definitely found a way better upgrade!

  6. These look like a great product!! They would be spectacular for my teenager. She is constantly carrying her tablet around the house with headphones and if she sets it down she will inevitably yank it off the counter by the headphone cords… if she used this she would be able to walk away and still hear her tablet!
