NYFW Recap: Day 1
First things first: I cannot believe I haven’t updated the blog for a week! I can’t remember the last time I’ve gone this long without any updates. I tried to schedule a couple more posts before leaving for NYFW, but I just ran out of time.
Now that my week is winding down, I figured it was the perfect time to start sharing some recaps of New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019. Out of all the NYFW’s I’ve attended, this season has to be my absolute favorite. Let me share some trends with you that I can’t wait to rock next year!

Noon by Noor
Kicked off Day 1 of NYFW by attending the Noon by Noor show at Spring Studios. What I love the most about Noon by Noor is how they gain inspiration from their Middle Eastern heritage. I felt as if I was transported to a desert with this collection: the color palette featured luxe tans and sky blues, and they introduced a chic blue and white striped pattern that had me longing for my next vacation on the water.

What I Wore
The team at ASOS sent over a few outfit options for NYFW this season, and I knew I had to kick off Day 1 with this fabulous (and super comfortable!) jumpsuit. Since I was commuting in from White Plains that morning and had to hop on the Metro North to get into the city, I wanted a look that wasn’t going to be fussy. I alternated between wearing these white booties and white sneakers, and both options were incredibly comfortable.

Backstage at Pamella Roland with Drybar
The Drybar team was kind enough to invite us backstage at Pamella Roland and learn more about the looks were chosen for the show. Drybar just launched their brand new Brush Crush straightening brush tool, which gave the models a super sleek, straight look for the show. I also had the opportunity to try the tool, and let me tell you my friends: it is worth every penny.
I had the opportunity to interview Drybar founder, Ali Webb, and she said that their new Brush Crush tool is perfect for any hair type — especially for those who have super frizzy/curly hair. Hands down, this is my new favorite hair product for fall!

Pamella Roland
Pamella Roland is always one of my favorite shows: it’s feminine, exquisite, and she’s never afraid to incorporate color and incredible embellishments. This collection was over the top, but in the best way possible: from the bright color palette to the intricate beadwork and 3D cut feather flowers, I loved the drama that this season brought. In addition to the stunning gowns, I was happy to see a few shorter dresses and suits included in the collection as well.
Joules Showroom Visit
I was introduced to Joules back at TBScon, and they’re a charming British brand known for their incredible rain gear. I got to preview their Spring/Summer collection (deliveries start in October), and it was full of delightful prints, stylish (and practical!) rain gear, and bold colors. Some items on my radar include their foldable rain boots and travel rain jacket.
Overall Trends Spotted
Next spring: get a yellow suit. I spotted them at both Pamella Roland and Tibi (recap coming later), and they looked incredibly elegant.
As far as street style trends I spotted: the white booties are back, however, this season you should opt for a western style white boot. I plan on picking up a pair and wearing them with my midi and mini dresses this season!
