One season, I’ll be a little more timely about my recaps. One season. At least I’m still under the 30-day mark for getting this recap up?
Anyway, to jump right into this: here are all of my favorite shows and trends that I spotted during the second half of New York Fashion Week. If you missed my first recap, you can catch it here. I’m going to AtlantaMart next week, and I’m super stoked to see what runway trends I’ll spot at the market!

Taoray Wang
Two words come to mind when I think of this collection: classy sexy. If I still lived in D.C., this would be my go-to collection next Spring to wear at any cocktail parties in town. I’m now on the hunt for a waist cincher as chic as the ones I spotted on this runway — in my opinion, this is a lot chicer than the corset trend that’s in full force at the moment.

Kendra Scott Holiday 2017 Preview
I popped into Kendra Scott’s New York City showroom and got a preview of their Holiday 2017 collection. Guys — it’s pretty dreamy. I loved the pops of oxblood and emerald green, and I spotted some incredibly fashion-forward statement earrings and necklaces in this collection as well. I’ll be styling a couple of my favorite pieces from this collection on the blog in the next couple of months; I cannot wait to share some of the great pieces I found!
Francesca Liberatore
Francesca is always one of the shows I look forward to the most during Fashion Week. I adore her use of bold prints and intricate embellishments, and I wish my photos did this collection justice: it is breathtaking in person. One of my favorite, yet unexpected details I saw was the use of metallic lace throughout the collection.

Dan Liu
Dan Liu’s Spring 2018 collection was an absolute dream: the dreamy pastel color palette combined with intricate lacework made this collection a girly-girl’s dream. Dan Liu also featured a few bold graphic pieces featuring teal cheetah print, vibrant coral zebra, and subtle peacock.

Leanne Marshall
I think it’s safe to say that this show is one of my favorites every year. I’ve been following along with Leanne Marshall since Project Runway, and she manages to knock it out of the park season after season. The designer really branched out this season and played around with more daring silhouettes; while I did spot the feminine gowns we’re used to seeing year after year, I did see a few bold pieces with diamond-shaped cutouts and asymmetrical ruffled skirts.
Another thing I loved during the Leanne Marhsall show? The diverse mix of models. I spotted all shapes, sizes and races coming down the runway, and it was beautiful!

Sherri Hill
Sherri Hill always ends up being the last show of Fashion Week for me, and it’s great to close out NYFW with a bang! Per usual, Sherri Hill brought an incredible amount of glitz and glamour to the runway — and totally made me regret my decision to not sign up for at least one pagent back when I was a teenager!

Favorite Trends I Spotted
For spring, it’s all about bold yellow, fringe, and lavender. As I stated before, I’m hoping to spot these trends during AmericaMart in Atlanta next week (I’ll be recapping everything I saw there!)
Such gorgeous pieces! It looks like you had a great time. And, you look amazing in that blue dress!
