Ah — tis’ the season, friends! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now upon us. Why do I love this sale? Normally when you’re shopping for a sale, you’re purchasing items from the current season. However, with the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, I love that you can shop next season’s designs right now. These items are brand new, on-trend, and offered at a pretty steep discount.
My strategy for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? I like to pick up big-ticket items during the sale, such as designer denim, shoes, and outerwear. If I see some trendier items that I love, I’ll also make sure to add those to my cart. The sale is open to Nordstrom cardholders now, and it will open to the public from July 28-August 8. I shopped the sale on the day I was eligible (last Friday!) and am sharing some of my favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks under $150 below. My biggest tip? If you see something that you like, get on it: items tend to sell out fast during the sale. If something doesn’t work out, Nordstrom has a fabulous return policy. Happy shopping, my friends!

My first impression of the sale? Initially, I was a little underwhelmed, but then I really started digging. And boy, oh boy, I found some gems.
I’m impressed by the amount of Madewell on sale this year. Madewell has been one of my go-to brands for years. I’m obsessed with their denim, so I plan on picking up this pair of high-waisted black vintage jeans. I also love their fleece jacket, which is less than $100 in the sale — pretty solid deal, IMO!
Other things I’m majorly crushing on: I have this pair of Mother Denim, and I swear by it, so I think I need to get this wash, I ordered this gorgeous striped Free People Sweater, and these Marc Fisher booties are a steal (their team was nice enough to gift them to me!) Overall, I think it’s a solid sale this year. Some items are repetitive from last year, but the denim selection and Madewell pieces are worth a look.
