Moving Forward

Happy 2014, everyone! I’m super thankful for each and every one of you who follows this little blog and I thank you for your awesome support.
If you’ve noticed lately, I really haven’t been updating nearly as much as I used to. Getting a full-time job at the end of 2013 made blogging pretty difficult. Rather than shooting outfit photos over the weekend, I would want to, you know, go out and spend time with my family and friends instead. It’s also pitch black outside when I finally come home from work, which makes taking blog pics during the weekdays nearly impossible.
Instead of scaling back on blogging, I want to steer my blog in a different direction in 2014. I still love fashion, don’t get me wrong, so still expect to see personal outfit shots and style inspiration boards. However, I’m in my mid-twenties, I live near one of the most exciting cities in the country (Washington, D.C.) and I love exploring and being out and about in the area. Why not incorporate it in my blog a little bit more? Dating, dining, nightlife, shopping — D.C. has a lot to offer and I want to dish about it. Being a single twenty-something in a bustling city is amazing, and a big part of my life that I definitely want to focus on more. Also, I’ve even had some of my friends who know me in real life tell me that I’m playing things a little safe and not fully showing off my personality. I’m a sassy little firecracker in real life, and I really don’t think I’m harping on that as much as I could.
Don’t fret if you don’t live anywhere near D.C. — I’ll still make this blog applicable to my followers in different cities, states and countries. I’m planning a design revamp along with this change, so stay tuned for that as well.
Thanks for bearing with me and my fickleness, everyone. Stay sassy in 2014.
