Can I tell you guys something? I booked my L.A. trip and was scheduled to come back a couple of days before the inauguration. After hearing the results, I really wanted to extend my California trip and skip it all together, but I decided against it. Weirdly enough, this past weekend ended up being one of the best weekends I’ve ever had in D.C.
I marched with 500,000+ other women and men on the National Mall this past Saturday for causes that I’m passionate about. I met a ton of great people, both from the D.C. area, and from thousands of miles away. It was a really awesome experience to march in solidarity with women who felt like my long lost sisters.
No disrespect to L.A., but there is nowhere I would have rather been this weekend other than my hometown of D.C. However, L.A. is a pretty close second of cities I am totally digging right now. this past trip was really the first time I got to experience a ton of things that the city had to offer. From live music to a trip to Malibu to Korean BBQ and delicious ramen — I felt like I did it all this past trip.
This off the shoulder sweater was the perfect thing to wear in the mild L.A. weather (and, quite frankly, now in D.C. too because it’s pretty warm for January!) I also picked up this pair of cropped flare jeans by Mother, and they’re my new favorites! I can’t believe I waited so long to try out the cropped flare trend, I’m pretty obsessed.
