I appreciate the traditional little touches that are incorporated in Macy’s holiday display. Ever since Miracle on 34th Street, I’ve been a sucker for a decked out department store during the holidays. Macy’s brings the old-school charm with it’s classic decor. This year, they’re continuing their “Believe” campaign and inviting children to write letters to Santa to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation. Macy’s 2013 Holiday Preview
Last week I headed to the Macy’s at Metro Center to preview their holiday items! I must say that I was blown away by their selection. They had very unique pieces that would work for any Fashionista on any budget. I even got a chance to try some pieces on, and ended up purchasing my new favorite holiday coat!
Now, onto my favorite part of the holiday preview: the threads! I was very impressed by Macy’s selection of holiday attire this year. There was plenty of glitz and sparkle, but there were also less sparkly options for the non-traditional Fashionista. I met up with a stylist who came down from corporate and tried some of my favorite looks on.

One thing I loved about Macy’s holiday clothing was that it wasn’t all sequins and glitter. Leather, metallics and faux-fur are also great options that will make a statement this holiday season.

I ended up buying this coat that same night of the preview. It was love at first sight. Just look at how perfect it is! Tweed, metallics and leather? What a beauty!
I had an absolute blast at Macy’s holiday preview! If you’re on the hunt for the perfect holiday ensemble, I would highly recommend making a trip to Macy’s!
