As some of you know via social media, I’m still in the process of recovering from a pretty nasty knee sprain. I had no idea how much of a pain in the butt a knee sprain would be: if you ever feel something click or pop in your knee, please rest it for 48 hours. I think if I did that, I would be a lot better off than I am right now!

I was on crutches for four weeks, and now I’m walking in a hinged knee brace at the moment. I still have to go back for another MRI, and I’m crossing my fingers that I don’t need surgery.

Before my knee incident, I was working out with a personal trainer, and I finally felt strong for the first time since my arm surgery. I was able to push 210 pounds on a sled, I was comfortable lifting weights, and I could even do a few chin ups — which was something I never thought I’d be able to accomplish after carpal tunnel surgery!

Now, I’m back to square one. I had to cancel my gym membership, and I’m walking less than a mile a day now. I’m a little discouraged — and to be completely honest, I’ve gained a bit of weight due to inactivity this last month as well.

As someone who used to walk a minimum of five miles a day and worked out three times a week with a trainer, I never really needed to diet. Now, after my injury, I noticed that a lot of my jeans fitted *very*, very snug. The folks over at LiquiSlim invited me to try out their product, and I knew that now was the best time for me to give it a shot!

I’m the type of person who needs to eat every two hours, so lately I’ve been waking up and having a big glass of water with a few squirts of LiquiSlim injected into it, along with a chia bar. It curbs my morning hunger and helps me focus just enough to make it through lunch. I was a little nervous to try a dietary supplement, but the cherry flavor is incredibly tasty and gives me the nutrients I need!

Have you ever had to pause your workout schedule due to an injury?

I’ve been there. You get on a good schedule and then bam, life hits and ruins it. You’ll get back up, just keep your chin up!
