1. Pick Your Favorite Doormat (Then Layer It!)
No matter if you live in an apartment or a McMansion, the first thing you can do to update your outdoor fall decor is to swap out for a new doormat. My particular mat is from At Home. However, I found a similar version here on Etsy! Target also has an adorable fall mat collection out as well that won’t break the bank.
A popular trend I’m seeing this year is to layer your doormat. I picked up this Amazon plaid mat to layer underneath my doormat, and I’m loving the result!
2. Add a Fall Wreath
A fall wreath is also apartment/condo friendly as well, and a great way to add a pop of fall color to your space. The wreath I have is from At Home, but I also saw a ton of really budget-friendly options at Homegoods and Target as well. After Thanksgiving, just swap out the fall wreath for a festive holiday option! 🙂

3. Snag A Couple of Lanterns
Lanterns are a fun decor piece you can leave on your porch/doorstep year-round, but for some reason, they work well for fall. I picked up my lanterns at Target and opted for a black set. You can get funky with this and get gold lanterns or rattan lanterns…the possibilities are endless!
4. Go Green
Mums are the quintessential fall plant, and they’d look perfect on your stoop. I picked up some medium-sized mums from the grocery store, but if you have a bigger porch, they definitely have options that are larger than the ones pictures to fill up your space.
Lastly: add your favorite pumpkins! I opted for the “fantasy”/specialty pumpkins that were offered so that our pumpkins would match our color scheme perfectly.
