ICYMI: I moved into a new home this year, and after a few crazy months of travel, we’re finally started to settle into the space. Going from a 2-bedroom apartment to a 4-story townhome has been pretty exciting, to say the least, and I’m excited that I have a lot more space for entertaining friends and family.
This year, I offered to host Thanksgiving, and I loved how that tablescape turned out. This is the first place I’ve had with enough space for a dining room table, so you better believe I’m designing all the tablescapes from here on out! I’m not 100% sure if we’re going to be hosting any Christmas parties/dinners this season, but you better believe I have my Christmas table decor ready just in case.

First things first: this budget-friendly table runner that I picked up is super versatile, and you can use it all year-round. I layered a festive garland over it: mine has all the whistles and bells, but I’m also a fan of this understated garland that I used at Thanksgiving if you’re looking for something a bit more low-key.
If you still don’t have nice China from a wedding registry, Pier 1 has a great selection of dinnerware that you can use for special occasions that won’t break the bank. I also am obsessed with this gold silverware — I found this 20-piece set for under $35, and it’s held up well so far!
The key to creating a great tablescape? Mix and match candles of different heights. This will instantly make your space feel cozier! I love these taper candles mixed in with these lower gold candle holders. I also placed a sprig of rosemary on each dish for a bit of extra flair. You can thank Pinterest for that inspiration!
