Happy birthday, America! At 236 years old, you’ve never looked better. 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, not only because of the barbeques and fireworks, but because it is socially acceptable to rock an ensemble consisting of only red, white and blue.

It’s pretty easy to go overboard with stars and stripes this 4th of July, but one or two key Americana statement pieces will make your outfit festive enough. It’s supposed to be pretty hot in Virginia tomorrow, so I’m thinking of rocking the Americana Turband with a lightweight tank and some denim cutoff shorts. Can’t get much more American than that.
