What to Wear on a Fall Date Night, Fall Girl's Night Out Outfit Idea

Top: Free People | Dress: Free People (Also Here) | Necklace: Taudrey | Purse: Rebecca Minkoff | Mules: Rachel Comey | Earrings: Kendra Scott

Have you ever seen an outfit in a store and just screamed internally, “YAAAAS?”

Well, I was in D.C. a couple of weeks ago on a press trip to National Harbor, and I did a pretty lousy job at packing. The first night we were there, we had a fun bar crawl planned, and I didn’t have anything in my suitcase that screamed: “night out on the town.” So, I popped into the Free People in Georgetown, and I immediately spotted this overall dress. Boom. I was in love. I try it on in the fitting room, and I didn’t want to take it off. I rush over to the register, pay for it, then put it back on 2 hours later.

I love the idea of a jumper for a girl’s night out because it’s unexpected and not your typical bodycon dress/skirt. I also picked up this lace top at FP, which I’ve also worn with a denim miniskirt for cocktails with the girls. I’ve had to try not to wear this outfit every weekend because I’m kind of obsessed with it!
