Fun fact about me: I’m a dancer. Like, a pre-professional, ballet trained dancer. Back in high school, you could find me in the dance studio five days a week. That’s why I always prefer workouts that take place in a studio setting. Treadmills kind of make me want to keel over.
305 Fitness, a workout craze that has captivated NYC, is now available in D.C. They invited me to try one of their classes and boy, was I in for a treat! Named after Miami’s area code, 305 Fitness is a dance cardio workout that infuses dance moves, sports drills and high intensity interval training (HIIT) to create a fun, full-body workout.
Long story short, this class kicked my little dancer butt! Choreography-wise, this wasn’t that difficult, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to pick up the moves. I loved that they combined a little booty shaking with your classic fitness moves such as jumping jacks and running. Also, the coolest part about this class? They dim the lights down real low and there’s a live DJ that spins in class! It feels just like a Saturday night out with the girls. Except, you know, you’re sweating 10 minutes into your dance sesh!
For my D.C. area readers, I’m offering you to experience 305 Fitness for yourself! I’m giving away one free class for you and a friend! To enter, just submit your info below. If you can’t wait for the giveaway to end and want to book your class now, you can reserve your spot here!
I’m always looking for new ways to revamp my workout so this was a nice treat! I use to be a dancer myself…but thats ancient history :] However I love opportunities that allow me to revisit this past. Thanks for sharing

Ahh, I have been wanting to try it since I heard about it in dc! I am trying to switch up my workouts so this would be perfect!
I enjoy cycling the most, but dancing is so fun too (though I really have no rhythm)
