These past few days in D.C. haven’t felt like fall, however, colder temps are bound to make an appearance sooner or later. I’m not a fan of frigid weather, however, I am a big fan of chic outerwear. I always try to rock a coat in a bold hue, funky pattern or hot trend to make fall and winter a little less gloomy!
One outerwear trend that dominated the runways this season is the boxy, oversized coat. Just imagine wrapping yourself up in a cocoon of a jacket this season. Sounds amazingly comfortable, right? The oversized coat is definitely a statement piece that will make layering a lot more interesting this fall. Balance out your oversized outerwear with slim fitting bottoms, such as pencil skirts or skinny jeans.
