I have a confession to make: my style in the summer can get pretty repetitive. I throw on a sundress, and I go. It’s like an unintentional uniform, and while it works every year, it never hurts to switch things up from time to time!

Since the big move to Los Angeles, and the reboot of my Rent the Runway membership, I’ve been inspired to switch a few things up and try new things. I’ve always loved jumpsuits for the summer, but I’ve really been digging them lately since I’m experiencing less humidity and “June Gloom” here in Los Angeles. I definitely feel cooler (temperature-wise) than I did on the East Coast in June, which is honestly a blessing but definitely an adjustment!

I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve gotten while wearing this jumpsuit. It’s a rental from Rent the Runway, but I might end up buying it because it’s absolute perfection and I’m not sure that I’ll be able to let it go!

When I look for jumpsuits, since I have longer legs, I look for jumpsuits with a bit of a cropped leg. That way, if the jumpsuit doesn’t go all the way down to my ankle, the cropped leg is intentional. If you have long legs and go for a wide leg, you’ll want those to be either purposefully cropped, or grab it in a tall size so that you’re covered in the inseam department. Nothing is more awkward than a wide-leg pant that just isn’t hitting right.

For shoes, if the jumpsuit leg is tapered and cropped, I like to pair sneakers to dress the look down and keep me comfy. These would also look fantastic dressed up with a pair of heels for date night.
