Happy Thanksgiving, my friends!

2017 has been a pretty special year for me. In 2-weeks, I’ll be celebrating my “Blogging Full-Time Anniversary.” As most of you know, last December I was laid off from my job and I decided that it was the perfect opportunity to give full-time blogging a shot. I knew that if I found another job, I’d need to stay in that role for at least another year, and I wouldn’t get my chance to do this full-time. I’m happy to say that I was able to convert this time-consuming side project into a full-fledged career, and I’ve had a blast while doing it! I honestly couldn’t have done any of this without the people who stop in to read my blog, and for that, I say thank you.

Another thing I’m thankful for? My friends and my family. I’m happy I left D.C. because I met a lot of people who didn’t have my best interests at heart in that town. I have a tight-knit circle of family and friends who have supported me 100% of the time this year, and I’m really thankful for those amazing individuals in my life.

Anyway: let’s talk fashion, shall we? I’ve had this faux leather skirt from Chicwish all fall long, and it’s been one of my favorites. I plan on wearing it with tights and ankle booties for when it gets super cold out, but I will likely be rocking this faux leather skirt like this when I head to NOLA and San Diego next month since it’s still pretty warm there! This skirt is sold out at the moment, but Chicwish constantly restocks items, so I would keep checking it out. In the meantime, here are some of my other favorite Chicwish skirts at the moment!
