Shop My Casual Christmas Outfit:

Welp, folks: here’s my very last outfit post for 2017!

Next week, I’ll have a couple of posts rounding up my favorite after Christmas sales and a few 2017 highlights, but today I wanted to share a quick, super casual Christmas outfit idea just in case you’re packing to head home for the holidays at the moment. I also wanted to share what I’ll be up to on winter break because a lot of you all asked for more personal posts when I conducted my reader survey this fall!

D.C., Philly or Charlottesville?

Some of you guys have asked me where I’m spending the holiday this year. Since I moved to Philly, I think some of you guys think that my family lives here, but that’s not the case. I grew up with my mom in the D.C. suburbs, and I couldn’t imagine spending this weekend with any other person on the planet.

As for the rest of next week? Well, as I’m typing this, I’m incredibly sick at the moment. I was hoping to squeeze a quick Charlottesville trip in next week since I haven’t visited all month, but my immune system is ultimately going to dictate how much traveling I’ll be doing over break. My BF and I also have no clue where we’re celebrating New Year’s Eve. I have friends in Philly who are doing something low-key, and he has buddies in C’Ville that are throwing a small shindig as well, so I guess we’ll see what we feel like doing!

My Goals for Winter Break

Aside from the handful of posts going live next week, I want to relax and recharge during break. I had a hectic holiday season over on the blog, and I think I slightly overdid it regarding blog partnerships this season. To be perfectly candid, I earn most of my yearly revenue for the blog during the holiday season, so that’s why I kicked everything into overdrive this season.

At the moment, I am creatively burned out. I have a couple of shoots left to do for some very last minute partnerships, but at the moment, I’m running on E. I’m planning on doing a total of ZERO blog photoshoots next week. Unfortunately, I will have to pop in and check a few emails for a few ongoing partnerships, but I have an out of office up and only plan on answering urgent emails.

I’m hoping to read more this winter break — does anyone have any good book suggestions? I’d love to knock out a couple of books next week.

What I Want to Spend My Christmas Gift Cards On

I think I enjoy shopping on December 26th way more than I enjoy Black Friday shopping. Everything is on major sale, and I’ve been to the mall on December 26th at 6 am before in previous years, and it isn’t super crowded. Here are a few picks that I’m eyeing, just in case I don’t see some of these under my tree this year!

I hope the break recharges you and you feel more creatively re-charged! I honestly slacked on my blog a lot until like 2 weeks ago because I was in school and all of my spare time was spent on homework. It is a really hard struggle. Balance is so important. Love these shots, they really are great and the green really pops- you look adorable! Happy Holidays!

Also, every year Matt and I switch back and forth between friend groups for New Year’s Eve — I feel like it’s a good system 😉 Enjoy your Christmas! xx

    • Girl…you deserve the biggest break. I don’t know how you’re balancing everything and still creating amazing content! And that’s a great idea with switching friend groups — this year I think we decided that we’ll go with his friends and head to Charlottesville! Happy early New Year!
