My Most Annoying Habit (That I’m Trying to Break)

Is anyone else out there a perfectionist?

It’s my best and worst habit. If you notice that sometimes I take weird gaps in posting either on the blog or Instagram, it’s not because I don’t have content planned. It’s because sometimes I look at a shoot and think wow, that’s trash, or I just don’t have any photos in my queue that will look good in my Instagram feed.

As a blogger, I understand that my life has to be a bit curated to some extent. However, I’m pretty much beating myself up right now because I just went to Fashion Week and was so particular about my content, I wasn’t able to share much in real time (except for on Instagram Stories!)

My latest goal? Be a little more in the moment and share more things in real time with you. Heck, even post an iPhone pic every once in a while! While it’s good to have some attention to detail, I do want to try to be a little more up to speed on here.

Speaking of delays — here’s one of the very few Colorado photos that made it through the great Memory Card Loss of 2017. We went to Red Rocks Amphitheatre and let me just say — these shoes? While they’re adorable, they weren’t the best for the walk up to the theater.

Totally agree about being more in the moment – sometimes people enjoy seeing these types of photos more on my feed!

I struggle with the same thing. I have a hard time posting because I look at my content a week later and decide its all not good enough. My current situation today lol.

  6. I struggled with curated content, too. Now, I try to schedule everything at least two weeks in advance to lessen the stress!
