I have to let you all in on a little secret: I have a bad habit of picking up and moving to a new city every 2 years. Ever since I turned 18, I’ve just bounced around and I’ve been somewhat transient. I’m not going to lie: I’ve been living in the D.C. area 1.5 years now, and I’m starting to get a little bored. Don’t get me wrong: my heart still skips a beat whenever I cross over the 14th street bridge and see this city’s skyline. However, I’ve just gotten into a monotonous routine here, and I’m feeling like I’m ready to switch things up.
I finally had the time over the past weekend to explore the city and y’all, I fell in love all over again. D.C., I’m sorry for ever doubting you. I think I’ll stick around for a bit. From stumbling upon a random flash mob of dancers in Dupont Circle to discovering awesome murals like the one pictured above, this really is an amazing place to live.
Speaking of the D.C. area, I am super excited to announce that J. McLaughlin has opened up shop in Middleburg, VA! I adore J. McLaughlin because I can pick up timeless, high-quality pieces that I can wear both to work and on the weekends. If you don’t live in D.C. wine country, don’t fret — they have stores in Georgetown and Bethesda as well! Can we talk about how adorable this crossbody bag is? I have a feeling this will be in heavy rotation this spring/summer!
Totally thought you were about to say you’re moving! hahaha, love this top though, looks so pretty and flowy.
