It’s no secret that Tom and I love Aperol. Like, a lot.
Now that it’s getting warmer, we’re thinking about all of the delicious cocktails we can create with Aperol this season. We love a good Aperol Spritz, and it’s one of my go-to beverages when it’s nice out. One day last summer, we headed to a brunch with our friends and brought Aperol and Sparkling Wine, but didn’t have any soda water to make the cocktail properly. We ended up improvising with what we had on hand and crafted the Aperol Tangerine Mimosa. It was a happy accident, but it was a crowd-pleaser, and every time we host friends for brunch we make sure to bust this out!
This cocktail is super easy to make, and is perfect for the weekend!

Aperol Cocktail Idea: The Aperol Tangerine Mimosa
We didn’t have club soda on hand during that brunch last summer with our friends to make the Aperol Spritz, and our friend had some Trader Joe’s Tangerine Juice sitting in the fridge. We figured, why not mix the sparkling wine, tangerine juice, and Aperol together? Spoiler alert: it ended up tasting delightful!
What I love about this cocktail is that it’s a great twist on the classic mimosa. The slight bitterness of the Aperol combined with the sweet tangerine flavor and bubbles tastes like a party in your mouth! It’s light, fruity, and the perfect day drink to enjoy with friends or loved ones. Or, you know, by yourself if you’re social distancing solo right now!
The best part about this cocktail? It’s super easy to make, and you’ll look like a master bartender while hosting friends over. Try out this fruity mimosa with a twist during your next brunch!
