Late Summer Wardrobe Essentials

Blue Ridge Parkway Overlook

Hey summer: please, please slow down. I cannot believe we’re halfway through August and only a few weeks away from Labor Day! Even though my favorite season is coming to an end, summer travels and adventures are still going strong. As far as my wardrobe is considered, I’m picking up a few new pieces for all of my late summer adventures that will transition from summer to fall with ease. I’ve partnered with Altar’d State today to share some of my pre-fall favorites that you can wear now and later!

My boyfriend and I headed up to the Blue Ridge Parkway last week in Virginia, and to my surprise: there’s a 15 degree temperature difference between the valley and the mountains. Since it was only about 70 degrees in the mountains, I busted out my trusty skinny jeans and paired them with my new Altar’d State boho top, sunglasses and sandals. The great thing about all of Altar’d State’s pre-fall items at the moment is that they’re chic, fashion-forward and incredibly affordable! The coolest thing about moving from D.C. to Philly is that there are still Altar’d State stores in my area as well — they’ve got a gorgeous location at King of Prussia.

In the next few weeks, I’ll be headed to Baltimore and Colorado to round out my summer travel. I’ve never been to Colorado, but I plan on bringing a bunch of light sweaters and denim since I know it will be a bit cooler there than the East Coast, and far less humid!

P.S. — If you want to see all of my other Altar’d State looks I’ve posted this spring and summer, you can check them out here, here and here!

Make sure to check the weather in Colorado – they had snow a few weeks ago. Isn’t that insane?! And I am loving this outfit girl. Those jeans look so comfortable!

Yup I’d definitely go for this kind of top as it feels so comfy. And a pair of nice sandals and sunglasses are surely in the list. I would go for a pair of shorts though.
