My favorite part about summer is all of the planned (and impromptu!) weekend getaways that my friends and I go on. Some of you guys might have seen this trip on my IG Stories/Snapchat, but I went to New Orleans a couple of weeks ago and I had the absolute time of my life! The food, the music, the culture…I’m trying to convince my friends to make a trip to NOLA a yearly trip!
We had dinner one evening in the Bywater section of NOLA, and we strolled through Crescent park right before heading to the restaurant. I packed this off the shoulder floral maxi dress from Altar’d State for my trip and it did not disappoint! It was perfect for the NOLA heat, and such a fun, stylish option for dinner. Most importantly: it was under $100! You could easily transition this dress from summer to fall by styling it with booties as well. You know me, I love pieces that are super versatile!
I also opted for these flat sandals (by the way: I’ve been rocking these all summer long!) since we walked about a mile around the Bywater neighborhood before heading to dinner. Anytime we could take a walk in NOLA we definitely took advantage of it; we ate so much on our trip that the extra steps were needed!
Altar’d State has an incredible selection of printed, boho-chic maxi dresses at the moment that are perfect for your next trip. If off the shoulder isn’t your thing, I’m a huge option of this paisley printed dress and this grecian maxi.
