Hello from the Celebrity Apex — the newest ship in the Celebrity Cruises Edge Class fleet! The kind team at Celebrity Cruises invited me to sail with them for the North America media preview of their ship, and as always, I was floored. Before I sailed with Celebrity I wasn’t really into the idea of cruising, but now that I’ve sailed on three of their ships, I am a full-on luxury cruise convert!
I’ll share my full Celebrity review once I get off the ship and get better wifi (prepare for a photo-heavy blog!), but in the meantime, I wanted to share some packing ideas for the Celebrity Apex. Dresses are the perfect piece to bring for a cruise — they can be super versatile, comfy, and it’s a no-fuss way to look put together. Here are the three types of dresses I brought with me to sail on the Celebrity Apex!

The Lounge Dress
Over the past couple of years, I’ve grown to love a good lounge dress. They’re perfect to throw on and ease into the day, and I love that they’re comfy enough to wear around your stateroom, yet chic enough to throw on with sandals to grab breakfast or explore the ship!
Lake Pajamas was kind enough to gift me their Veranda Dress last month, and I knew I had to pack it with me for this trip. It was a super cute, comfortable option that I ended up wearing multiple times during this experience! Plus, you really can’t go wrong with a powder blue and white striped combo when you’re at sea.

The Day Dress
Whenever I’m cruising with Celebrity Cruises, I always like to pack a few fun day dresses that are easy to throw on to explore the ports or wander around the ship. With the day dresses I pack, I always make sure that they’re lightweight and breathable since it can get pretty hot and humid on certain cruises. Also: just in case the AC is blasting, or if we might have a rainy day onboard, I like to pack a lightweight jacket that I can layer over my day dresses as well.

The Dinner Dress
For dinner on the Celebrity Apex, passengers dress to the nines. I’ve seen everything from cute cocktail dresses to full-on gowns on board, so feel free to go all out and use it as an excuse to dress up!
I opt for flowy dresses that can hide a food baby (because, let’s face it: the dinners are all you can eat!), but really anything goes here!
